Goals for Build Once

Create a library for builders of the impacts of specific design decisions.

As I went through the process of building a house I had a million questions about what was the right way to build. I asked my architect and contractor friends my questions and saved their responses. This blog is a dump of what I’ve learned from expert builders.

Here are the explicit goals of this publication.

1. Create an accessible library of practical best and worst building practices.

2. Foster a community of experts to continue growing the library.

3. Help explain the tradeoffs of design designs.
